The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Association for Facilities Engineering (AFE), the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) hold annual competitions to recognize innovative design and application of technology. The ASHRAE Technology Award is the heating, ventilating, air-conditioning and refrigerating industry's most prestigious honor. It recognizes outstanding achievements by members who have successfully applied innovative building design in the areas of energy efficiency, indoor air quality, operation, maintenance and environmental impact.
